Chisel Patterning Mokume Gane Class at Metalwerx

Posted by Arn Krebs on

Arn spent three days last week taking a workshop with fellow mokume smith Anne Wolf. It was a specialized class centered on mokume chisel patterning, the most traditional method of patterning mokume gane - a technique Arn had been interested in taking time to explore further.

Patterning is one of Arn's passions, and one of his favorite avenues to explore in his work. He loves taking traditional techniques and developing them with his own style and vision, pushing the bounds of how mokume can be made and the designs that can be achieved.

This class also included chisel making, and you know how Arn loves to make tools. Stay tuned to see how Arn incorporates these elements in his rings!
