Custom work and commissions are a central part of Sue Freda’s practice. She works with private clients, interior designers and architects, and on commercial projects. These pieces are developed in response to a specific request—whether for a particular space, collection, or occasion. Each begins with a conversation, considering scale, environment, light, and the intended presence of the work.
Commissions may be site-responsive or more open in nature. Some are designed for a defined setting, while others are created for a client and placed later. Works range in scale and material, from intimate objects to wall pieces to larger sculptural forms.
Each commission is unique, but all are rooted in Freda’s approach to form, line, transparency, and movement—allowing each piece to feel connected to her broader body of work.
