Sue Freda’s wearables are sculpture for the body. As a sculptor, she creates forms that can exist in almost any space. Jewelry, clothing, and headwear are a natural extension of that practice, offering both new challenges and a dynamic way for the work to evolve.
The pieces shown here include works created for purchase as well as custom designs for specific events and performances. Wearable dresses have been presented at New York Fashion Week, a jacket created for DIFFA Dallas, and headpieces designed for sound artist Lenkadu’s stage performances.
