Susan Freda Fine Art & Jewelry

Fine artist Sue Freda is recognized for her organically ephemeral, intricate weaving style. She works with form, light, and line as vehicles to create her light,  and luminescent pieces which are full of movement. Susan's work is recognized for its unusual processes and use of materials, signature weave, and for its  exquisite handiwork.

Educated with a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and a MFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design, she has been the recipient of a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Award, a Pilchuck Glass School Scholarship, Rhode Island State Council on the Arts Public Art Grant, a and a deYoung Museum Artist-in-Residence Award. 

Susan has exhibited in the US, Canada, and Europe.  Her shoe and dress forms are both fashionable and ghostly.  Her pieces have been collected and presented at NY Fashion Week, Neiman Marcus, Stuart Weitzman, Fidelity Investments, Meditech, Ferragamo, Cirque du Soleil, and by the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art Artists Gallery. Her work is included in the collection of the Museo Italo Americano of San Francisco, and in numerous private as well as corporate collections.
